Captain Jamie Langenbrunner has been traded to the Stars for a conditional third round pick. The pick can change from a 3rd rounder to a 2nd rounder depending on how Dallas does in the postseason and depending on if/when Langenbrunner re-signs with Dallas.
In his last comments as a New Jersey Devil, he said that he has mixed emotions regarding the trade. He’s happy to return to Dallas but upset to leave his home in New Jersey. He also said that Zach Parise should be named the next captain, although he does not have a say in the matter.
In addition, Lou Lamoriello said that he will not listen to offers for Martin Brodeur and that he wants to re-sign Zach Parise.
can NOT believe Langenbrunner is gone. You’ll be miss, Captain. :(
